Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

When someone resigns in the US

Every replacement has been in Bangalore, at least in our group. It's getting a ridiculous. My managers normalize it in staff meetings as much as possible. But it just means you work for a product that is being off-shored.

Years ago some guy named resea posted a list of hundreds of Cisco “managers” who had one person reporting.

This scared the managers and the all went and found headhunters from Bangalore to give them each 9 new recruits.

Cisco still has these same Bangalore contract companies everywhere.

You should look on the bright side and be happy you got a replacement requisition.

Yep, I was seeing the same thing.

Cisco is the worst place. So glad I left.

In my org, we rehire locally through a contractor or send San Jose jobs to Bangalore. Cost cutting is how Sr. Directors become VPs at Cisco.

Get employees to focus on social justice initiatives while we quietly sell 25 buildings in San Jose.
