Where do people come up with this "meraki taking over" nonsense? They are a small piece of the pie as far as cisco goes. Remember linksys, SA? People that were clueless were saying the same thing to stir up the toilet. At least try to make the rumors believable.

Agreed but Meraki will be even worse in those regards.
Scott Harrell and Thomas under him have been a nightmare. They refuse to work with other BE's, refuse to take customer or field feedback, and fail to deliver. They are very arrogant and that entire group thinks its the smartest in the world when it is in fact far from it.
"Because he is not" ==> I think you have email to catch up with.
Harrell left because everybody else left: Gupta, Sambi, Srikantan, Solder to name a few are all gone. Despite being given plenty of room and funds to maneuver, that team failed to deliver a compelling product. Playtime is over, it's showtime for Meraki.
Because they needed him out of the way for the Meraki takeover to be complete.
