I feel that our dear leaders know best, as they see the big picture that any mere residents of this prefecture could not possibly envision. The future is too bright to see, so do not look into the sun. That will be done 4U.

Only reason verizon with all its inefficiencies and bureaucracy survives is due to FTC/US regulations making it difficult for new players to enter. The mode in which this company operate can’t survive in any other first world country.

“ Hey another foreign executive hire. Guess Americans aren't good enough to run a company wh odd revenues come largely from the US.”

I share this sentiment exactly. The telecom industry is effectively an American creation, including wireless. Meanwhile, Verizon (with roots stretching back to some of the earliest Bell companies) has decided our senior leaders must be imported. If I were a senior leader who had built my career at Verizon and watched over the last 5-7 yrs as a cascade of foreign execs has taken over the company, I would be aggressively exploring opportunities elsewhere.

And as further noted by the very intelligent commenter, like 98% of VZ revenue comes from the US… but the best people the board can find to sell to Americans are Europeans and Canadians!

Good afternoon, my little rays of sunshine! I'm sorry I'm late today... I had some other priorities I needed to address this morning. Nothing you need to worry your pretty little heads about... We only have your best interest in mind.
I do see you've been busy little beavers! I see quite a few negative posts about you collectively... Pay no attention. I assure you that you are the most special and treasured employees in this whole company. Though most other companies are working to reduce union influence, or prevent unions from getting a start, we treasure each and every one of you. We are trying to protect you, and insulate you from any distractions.
I do see there is some union support for returning to the office. I would suggest you refocus your attention towards your family and friends- that which is most important, and that which will draw you home. If that is not an option, maybe you should get a cat or twelve as you obviously do not have enough of value to tie you to your home.
I also see there is some more.... Shall we say... "Baser" interest in your dear Uncle Verizon. I am truly flattered. I do understand you may have an attraction to your benefactor and protector. However, I think of all of you as my little children, and would not sully our relationship with such carnal pursuits. Ultimately, we do avoid the remotest possibility of procreating with your class. We recognize the need for people like you... You are cherished, and it is best to keep your bloodlines pure.
I do see your pole-hugging brothers are moving forward with their work at home initiative. This is, of course, a step in the right direction. However, we still have a long road before us. Our goal is to get all members of all branches of all unions insulated in their own wombs.
So, please, do not think we can rest on our laurels. Keep the pressure on your union. Your wishes must be their wishes... Otherwise, what do you pay dues for?

All these foreign “executives” are loving it working at Verizon because nobody in France, UK, Sweden or Canada would pay them the fortune that they are now making. In a bygone era, mobile industry used to be a European cartel and GSMA being its propaganda arm. Mobile operators in Europe shrank significantly profit wise and that is what is/will be happening to Verizon slowly at first and much faster eventually. Isn’t it nice that these “executives” moved to greener pastures ? In the meantime Chinese are adamant to lead in 5G and 6G.

Despite wanting HV’s job desperately, has Ronan deserved to move up ? Has been around ~5 years in Vz and haven’t grown the business a tiny bit but easily cleared ~$40M in comp ! Well, being an accountant certainly helps to count that cash. One can not help but think if somebody else was in that position, would the results have been positive? Shareholders and employees are entitled to that fat package given lack of performance. Board must be busy with D&I tasks or writing their books. Seems that they are asleep at the wheel.

Sure, layoff 10-15 more people and hire another executive. 👎

Her picture looks good. That alone must be enough to be hired. Perhaps she is a friend of Frank Boulben. Now I expect VCG revenue growth blowing the roof tops.

Hmm, Deputy CEO at VCG. Is Ronan moving up to the big chair in the near future?
