Will you be honest in your ESAT survey?

It's entirely anonymous. Are you often honest in the comments? The questions seem very simple and leave no scope to express your thoughts but the comments is where employees can be candid in their feedback. What's your opinion ?

Worked there 10 years; was always honest. My department was terrible and was so difficult to move to a different area of the bank. I quit, left for a job that pays me almost twice as much, less vacation time, but the money was worth it. I would have stayed had I been able to move to a different department and better pay.

So desperate. Two leaders went to the campus and did a video about how important the survey was. NOT wearing masks and NOT standing 6 feet apart. No mention of “ we had our shots so we are good” or even acknowledging we are still in a pandemic. So disrespectful.

Some of my colleagues said the leaders often dismiss negative feedback as one - off negativity or that there are always disgruntled employees. So what's the point?

As one with directs and indirects I can say I always know who connects are from. It all comes down to writing style. I’m just thankful I’ve only had a couple of negative comments in more than a decade. One was valid and I learned from it, the other wasn’t. Commentary on a B3 never seems to go anywhere.

Agree. These are not as anonymous as they state. The only thing they have pride themselves on in regard to the survey and the You Spoke We Listened. is “you get to wear jeans to work”. REALLY?!?! That’s all you got?? Your manager knows who rated what and they do hold that against you.

Three options. Not take the survey. Take it and be neutral. Or take it and be brutally honest and you will pay for your honesty.

Anonymity is limited only to the specific associate, but not to a group. I know of a manager that was called on the carpet because the some of the scores for his group were not what was wanted by management. For the current ESAT survey, I have talked to people that been prompted on how to best answer the survey questions to get a positive result. The ESAT survey is for PR only.

Brutal honesty is what I went for, with comments. True anonymity or not, I'm tired of hiding under a rock to keep a job that has become painful. I've tried direct feedback, in the open and in the light - does no good. Guessing this won't either, but at least I've said it.
