Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

How much do they value your ideas?

From my personal experience, (maybe yours is different?), it’s not even worth coming up with some constructive ideas here. I once tried to suggest to my superior to consider whether the job could be done much faster and more efficiently in another way, but no... It is better not to even mention it.
No matter how constructive and good of an idea you give, this is a company where things (for unknown reasons) have to be done in a more complicated way.

Change takes time. Ideas I championed 3 years ago are reality today. Its a marathon and not a sprint

They just want too make their numbers ,just get the job done anyway you can ,thats how it works ,just throw it up job complete you say sort of not really ,they tell you ok its closed off to the next job..then customer calls and complains about the job and then vz managers want to suspend you ..
