Why was it a too priority for the Houston area employees to get back to the office but not them???

I agree with you. I’m going to move to Argentina so I can work from home also.
OP here. You wanted me to google why XOM employees in another country are working remotely, instead of asking XOM employees? Move along. I admitted my mistake.
@OP “I love and respect my BA coworkers” But not enough to do a simple google search of the current conditions over there?
@OP Because you live in a so-called “red-state” run by people who depend on donations from companies like EM in order to maintain their power and related privileges. Therefore EM gets to do whatever it wants.
You (like many others here) also work in a backward, anachronistic industry with backward, anachronistic leaders who are hostile to modern work structures, and change in general.
Because THAT governor you voted for opened the economy.
Hey folks. People in argentina dont have vacines. They also are on Lockdowns and are not able to use public transport. They cannot go outside after 6pm.
There is no medical capacity to help you if you get sick.
OP here. I’m sorry for asking. I really didn’t know. I wasn’t asking maliciously, I love and respect my BA coworkers. I want them to be safe. I was just curious.
@rxk Are you looking at the same Texas covid charts as me? I have one pulled up now and the new cases per day were in the 2,000s 2 weeks ago and 3,000s 4 weeks ago. There is a clear decline and there has been for the past 3 months. Harris county is at 2,400 active cases... with 5million people in the county.
This is a good thread to talk about how broken our culture is to the point of producing insensitive employees that disregard cultural differences and are completely ignorant about what happens outside of their own little world.
The 7 day average for covid cases in Texas is 1,400+. Cases are on the rise in Texas. Why don’t we get the same luxury of putting “safety first?”
Not serious right? Because the country of Argentina is in strict lockdown.
@zjz+1bfhe9cL actually they’ve had access to vaccines since December
I mean open the news and do a little research and you will understand Covid is really bad in there and people don’t even have vaccination going on while in here vaccine is abundant… What an absurd comparison. Hope this helps. Best regards :)
