Honest Management

There are alot of managers who conveniently choose when to showcase their behavior and in front of whom.

You Fresh, Membership, and Merchandise assistant managers that keep your foots on the necks of your Associates to hurry and get as much done as soon as possible...

You Club managers that threaten the careers of your assistants and leads for anything not picture perfect...

Your time is swiftly coming to an end. Because when the market and regional teams come to your club and tell you to stay on process, slow down, and improve on the details, you stay quiet and nod while the words slip in one ear and out the other. And the moment they walk through the exit, you go back to breaking processes, speeding without regard for standard, quality, or safety, and you don't give a damn about details.

If you don't start being honest with the people in your departments about what the company goals and expectations are, they will continue to turn on you with call offs, low work effort, and spontaneous quitting. The fact that you have to terminate left and right doesn't speak to the working public, it speaks to you as a manager. And if you don't start being honest with your club, market, and regional leadership, that spotlight will shine on the common denominator of all of the problems in your area: YOU.

Ask yourself, is it worth lying to everyone above and beneath you just so you can cover up your own weaknesses and failures as a manager? Making the Associates' lives worse, making the Member experience worse, and making the company value worse just because you lack the capacity or willingness to be better at the job you're getting paid to do? How much misery and loss of revenue will you cause to everyone around you for the sake of your ego and insecurity? Be better or move out of the way for someone who actually wants to perform the job with poise, excellence, respect for the individual, and insecurity.

The company needs to either remove or relocate the Coaches offices to where the Public can see into the offices, I see this in other retail stores and you don't see the Managers or Coaches sitting in them Facetiming family and friends or shopping on line putting feet up in the chairs and on counters, pretty much doing anything but being down on the floor doing their job and most of all engaging with our members, I have never seen it as bad as it is now, and to make matters worst, when we have Cooperate visits they are so fooled by Coaches, what they see is just an illusion at least in my building.

You can't expect honest behavior in a dishonest company management is all about themselves they want to do as little as possible and hide in the office, and this goes all the way to the top while you struggle to take care of your family on the pitiful wages you are paid the Walton family trust recently sold 750 million dollars worth of Walmart stock look it up there are articles out there.

qre+1bgASNoo I agree that sams can be important to families depending on the income obtained here but that is true of every job. It is a different matter to believe in sams club or that sams is in any way to be a likely fulfilling career.

It means something to the families and loved ones who are supported financially by these people.
