Who cares about the HRDP’ers? They reek of entitlement and most of them kind of s-ck. The difference between an HRDP and any other HR person is that the HRDP added Chevron to their interview list when they were in school.

Crazy....spoke to my HRBP and she was getting 300k (total comp) offers from other companies. Psg 22s are at 160+ 120 pension. Wasn't worth it for her, but damm. No wonder HR is getting pillaged.

Lol....How do we keep people in San Ramon? Poor managers and much higher salaries at tech companies. Chevron is lucky to be in Houston. Most companies are bankrupt competitors so we dont have to pay for top HR talent.

The people in HR who should be embarrassed, ie the leaders, will never be embarrassed because they are arrogant and shameless. The only thing that will make them wake up is when they realize all the truly hard workers have gone and the business starts to take notice. The business, in turn, will look to their HR leaders for guidance and of course the HR leader will have no clue because their underlyings who actually did the work got fed up and left. The result will be exposing HR leadership for what it really is. Although let’s not kid ourselves, the business already knows that HR leaders are worthless. Half of them can’t even get by on their good looks anymore because no one likes a botoxed 50 year old sporting a hair style that probably worked in the 90s.

Let’s also talk about the early and mid career solid performers who elected to EOI during Transformation. Not sure what’s more embarrassing for the function - people would rather leave with no plan and risk prolonged unemployment than stay at CVX any longer or that people who made it through Transformation and landed jobs left soon after. What’s left are people who are actively looking for an external opportunity and people who are so useless and/or lazy that they could never get a job elsewhere. Better hurry up those plans to “grow OC” because we are going to need them!
HR needs to get it together. Stop promoting incompetent people while marginalizing the true work horses in the function. Stop relying on unreliable and biased PDRs to make selection decisions. And stop acting like there isn’t a problem. The HR in Action sessions you keep hosting are ridiculous. Who came up with that name? Sounds like “HR inaction” which is more on point.

Just like 2016-17. The good who survived take a look around and see that new titles and org charts have been created, but no real change in the day-to-day operations, and the same cronyism and favoritism at review time. They see the greener grass on the other side of the fence and move on.

Those that can get a better job are jumping ship. Those such as the HSE function can't jump because they are not even qualified to work at CVX. How can you put people in charge of a function that can't even pass the basic CSP?
