Nice or not these two are only lucky because of the last name or gene pool. They did not work their way into these positions. But are pushed up the latter at an accelerated rate and make poor decisions. Bad enough we had Billy & Elena. Look how the comedy duo turned out?

Maybe he will go to Google - NOT! He wouldn’t pass the interview process there. Maybe he can go work at McDonald’s or Burger King. That’s what he’s qualified for. If it wasn’t for his Ford name, he’d be like the rest of us - we actually have to work hard, earn what we have, and nothing is handed to us on a silver platter!

Just clearing the way for Billy's daughter. Jimmy F better watch his back. I'm sure she's already measuring for new carpet and decorations in his office. You know the minute Bill can, he will be replacing him with her. The only reason he isn't retiring is so he can ensure she finishes her rocket to the top in just a handful of years. Likely will be named a VP this year.

Sat just a few feet away from him in one of his "Ford Family Resume Development Roles" and he was always stressed and clearly over his head. However as with any of the golden children, we ooo'd and ahhhh'd along with management's cooing because rule number one is never point out these people have no clue what they are doing and only have their jobs because of their last name. Also love how they are so shallow that they all have to continuously cite the schools they graduated. Like that means anything with the rich and famous as their connections and wealth make any school available to them and will guarantee graduation. PA-LEASE.

Yeah, I have also heard he wasn't the sharpest kn--e in the drawer, and really bitched the relaunch of the GT, especially with high rollers in EU and Mid East - it was a cluster, when he literally had one job.

Think this is more the peter principal, putting people in places they can least hurt the company. If that is what this is, then I'm all on board for that plan.

The 335k annual board stipend is more than is Ford salary. Tell me that wasn’t orchestrated.
Get on the board - zero stipend if you are a Ford employee, resign from Ford and get 335K stipend.
Belly up to the trough.

You think he's getting a real job? I didn't see that anywhere in the press release. More than likely he got bored or tired and realized he can live high on the hog off his dividends and board stipend. He had a repuation for not putting in nearly the time and effort required for his level. Nice enough guy but not very bright.

Why work when he can just leach off of the company? The Ford's after Hank the Deuce have been worthless.

We have the “kids” on the Board now. Everything will be great!

DETROIT – Henry Ford III, the great-great-grandson of company founder Henry Ford who last month was elected to its board of directors, is leaving his investor relations job within the automaker effective July 1, according to an email sent to colleagues Tuesday.

Ford, 41, will remain on the board but said stepping down as an employee will allow him to "carve out time to further broaden my perspective outside the company" and help him become a better director.

"After 15 years inside Ford, I believe that new external viewpoints will help me guide and support our great company with improved objectivity and an increased ability to constructively critique our strengths and weaknesses," he wrote
