Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Not available anymore

Is that one of the best parts of giving a notice?
After years of having to be available here 24/7, as of yesterday I finally don't care about being available and at your service all day.
I agree that it’s okay to work hard and be engaged, however HON asked for too much. Once they saw that I loved my job and accepted responsibility, there was no going back - there is no count of how many times I was busy with work even when it was finally my time to rest.

@4hvd+1bmYuZHk -- It is age discrimination refined to a high art by an army of company lawyers. A no win situation for employees and a must win situation for the CEO.

They did the same to me for 23-years 24/7, 100-work weeks. Until I hit the magic age and compensation calculation number. Every year 1-2 block reviews then surprise you are not doing enough so we are going to have to put you on PIP. PIP was a nothing more than a brain drain to gain all my knowledge and status of current project for the new employee they had for my position. Also the PIP is used against you to justify your termination. It’s a no win situation.

Space resignations are starting to gain steam..... What? HW isn't a Space company? Time to go kiddies. Make more $$$, get better benefits, have work/life balance and eliminate weekend cash calls by going anywhere else.

Well done Mr. E. We wish you the best of luck.
If it makes you feel better none of us plan to attend your successor's skip levels either.

I hate getting criticized for missing 7 AM Monday meetings called late in the day on Friday.
