I have been out of work before but not during a pandemic. I'm barely hearing back from employers when I submit job applications. If I do, it's immediate rejection. The fact that I am older probably doesn't help much, either.

Ageism is real. Good luck!
My biggest fear is not being able to find a replacement job due to my age. My exit plan is to have the job in the bank (pun intended) before leaving the bank unless I get offered a buyout due to layoffs.
A few people I know were qualified but unemployed and looking. The youngest ones found something equivalent pretty quickly. The oldest one is still looking well after their severance ran out. Networking is key.
What sort of job? Management? Accounting? Finance? Software?
