Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

I guess you really weren’t that great

Uh oh. Looks like earnings are about to take off. Maybe you weren’t so irreplaceable after all.

I have not heard anything positive about ExxonMobil outside of ExxonMobil. 0P must be pretty gullible.

Everywhere I read, people are bullish on XOM. There must be good reasons why analysts are predicting a high stock price and giving buy ratings for XOM, right?

Yeah right, I've been with XON/XOM many years and this industry in general is very cyclical. The COVID downturn left a bad taste in my mouth as to how XOM handled the crisis. Hate it so much, I left. Don't be fooled by a slight uptick in the stock. Another global crisis could easily shake this industry.

Exxon performs average relative to its peers when oil is expensive, and it underperforms when oil is low. Considering a lot of PIP’d people are working at Amazon, they’re literally working at a better company 😂

Reading about how all of the high-powered traders hired in the last 3 years are now resigning from the company.

Guess they are less sanguine about EM’s future than OP (Darren?)

Earnings take off? Like to the moon? Lol. Some people just need exxonmobil to show them to the door before they realize they can make more elsewhere.

Great news! The stock price is now just 37% lower that it was in 2014. Winning!
