Merger is consolidating performing asserts and getting rid of underperforming asserts. You can make an argument about DC, whether it deserves another death blow. Growth takes investment, Stankey and his cohorts are buying paying themselves, more divisions and employees will be on the chopping block before the end.

Well, since T has soiled Warner naturally there will be layoffs. It's the only real lasting impact that T provides any business it touches.

The 'T' effect:

  • Profits? No.
  • Increased market share? No.
  • Greater respect? No.
  • Innovation? No.
  • Employee satisfaction? No.
  • Investor benefit? No.
  • Better product or service? No.

But ...

  • Layoffs? Awwww, he-l yeah!
  • Decline in employee morale? Absolutely!
  • Destruction of a once respected company? Without a doubt!

Call it getting Stink'd. Sorry, people at Warner ... you just got Stink'd.

Both these spin-offs will result in layoffs.
