Member Service Specialist Position

Okay, I know I have asked this before but here I go again. In the beginning when they made FT positions available for cashiers, we understood it was offered to the cashiers first. Then when they created the member specialist, we also understood it was offered to front end people first. But it has been almost a year since those those spots were filled. We have had people leave, opening up member specialist positions. People who are trying to move into that position are being told they cannot because they are not front end. This is ridiculous. I contacted workday and asked them if this was a criteria, they said NO. So now they are giving these spots to new people who have not been there for less than six months. Very unfair.

This practice is unfair and home office should be concerned about how long time employees are treated. How many clubs only offer the Member Specialist job to people on the front end? Since when is it a requirement to already be on the front end? Very unfair.

Our front end manager hires externals and transfers without even posting any positions for anyone else to apply...same goes for all other areas.... all of sudden you will see a new face and the associates who have been there for years never got the opportunity to apply.... nothing can be done though. They do as they please.

Same in our club The front end manager only put her favorites in those spots. So funny too because a couple of the member specialists call in all the time. Both have taken advantage of the free "Covid" leave/free vacation more than once. The last guy promoted was a huge mistake.
