Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

Does Nike learn anything from its mistakes?

It seems to me that this company does not learn anything from its mistakes and keeps repeating the same ones again and again. As if it was stuck in a loop. Why is this happening, I wonder?
Maybe it’s because those at the top never want to accept their responsibility for things that go wrong.

@1tqt+1buWyEdd people that do the work “don't communicate with the leadership about how to fix problems” because they have seen others that have tried to do that shown the door for “not being team players”.

Yeah.. it's called Institutional Inertia, big ships take longer to change course, etc. etc. Unfortunately, most doing the work either can't or don't communicate with the leadership about how to fix problems that some other worker will have to experience in isolation. Corporate work is done in a bubble. Sometimes I feel that places like this, the layoff, if used properly (keyword) could benefit companies but they wouldn't want to tarnish their shiny reputation regardless...

Yes, mistakes are made and some repeatedly, but as long as the water in the river is high, the rocks in the flow won’t be noticed by those rafting at the top.
