Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

When you don't know what to do, have a Town Hall, then ignore everything that was submitted......

The business management college training teaches "when you don't know what is wrong or how to fix it, have a meeting with those who actually perform the work and gather suggestions."

But this group has their own syllabus:

1) Talk up a future Town Hall meeting for months and ask for input.
2) At the Town Hall, brush off and minimalize all the suggestions and comments that you solicited.
3) Tell how wonderful your future plans are and how those doing the business do not understand.
4) Congratulate yourself for months on what a good Town Hall you had.
5) Repeat, beginning at step 1.....

Twice through this 'gruelling' schedule takes them through a whole year...

Great job if you can get it....

my favorite was when poppin fresh said the vacation thing is over move on, or how about when he said yea even though you know thousands were fired last year we had no layoffs!!!

Doesn't lying qualify as a code of conduct violation anymore?

Maybe better questions should be submitted. Nobody wants to address incessant whining. It's just gonna bring people down for no good reason.

The post is spot on. Also make sure to shift the focus to how poorly layoffs/benefit cuts/salary reductions were communicated, in order to avoid addressing the real issues.

Don't boycott town halls. Minimize them, mute the volume and make sure you charge your time for viewing them. Then take a nap! Repeat this procedure for the recordings and charge as many time as possible! Enrich yourself just like Stinky does!

It's great when they bring Santone along. She adds no value to the town Hall. She gets an A+ for her manerisms!

Boycott all Town Halls. Biggest waste of time ever. When was the last time you attended a Town Hall and left with a feeling that Leadership was leading the company in the right direction?
