As an ETW, I'm already priced out of the Beaverton/ Hillsboro area on a 60k a year salary. How do guys/gals do it? I'm trying to buy my first house and keep getting outbid or the homes within my budget.. Most homes are older 70s, 80s homes that are fixer uppers.
It seems everyone on my team grew up in the area, so they're sitting fat and happy as an FTE with a higher salary. The transplants, live with roommates lol ( in their late 20s and mid-30s) It's a type of Neofeudalism if you believe in the cult of Nike.
It seems if you want to continue working at Nike, you're going for broke... Yet they expect to return to the office. This is why most people quit. Remote work has freed up more finances by letting people to work further away, thus cutting your costs down.
It's literally cheaper to quit and move away.. Unless Nike wants to build ETW's barracks like in China?? lol
