From another posting:
“ In answer to your question

Is this for real? Yes
Is there a WARN? Sorta
Are managers under NDA? yes
Is this a lay-off or a reorganization? Reorg - GTM 3
What is the severance? Depends
Most importantly, are they accepting volunteers? Unlikely, if you dont want to be here, quit”

"At this point, I would not be surprised if the company is sold off piece by piece until there is nothing left." and you guess ego of the owner would let him to do it - you are dreaming - if there is one thing is to leave legacy with your name on it

I was Dell pre-sales and I left two months ago after 21 years. The writing was (clearly) on the wall, and I had no problem finding a great job with a great company that wants me, and was willing to pay me better than Dell. I spoke (business and personal) to about a half dozen of my former Dell colleagues last week about specific accounts in their territory. Every one of them commented that they hope they still have a job (layoffs are coming) and that we should get back in touch in early August when their Q3 starts as they may or may not be supporting that customer. They added the same thing happening in pre-sales is also happening in sales.

Trolling - there wasn't any layoffs or similar - it is realignment simply said to focus on strategy that is set and execute better . There is actually plenty open positions

When I read about the new COO coming from Bain, I instantly knew the company was going to shed some employee count.

At this point, I would not be surprised if the company is sold off piece by piece until there is nothing left.

With a new co-coo, an " expert in corporate turnarounds and transformations" how can layoffs not be in the picture? Eligible for $900k salary, 150% salary annual bonus, $5M signing bonus, $45M in shares..good work if you can get it. Looks like Jeff is exiting in the future, maybe the layoffs he drove last year were not enough to save his job.

Redundancies.. sounds like the UK, but layoffs are not likely there due to laws (compared to other countries). Sounds like a rumor. Additional details are needed, before getting to concerned. Normal concern is always needed theses days. With the latest TellD results a change is probably coming in the form of a reorg which will lead to a layoff of some type. It’s always going to happen, general housekeeping, so be prepared. I could of been more prepared, but still ended up ok. It’s not the end, just a surprise change that is forced.

Where and how was this "officially" announced? Was it during an internal meeting?
