Thread regarding Ford layoffs

This is getting old, why can’t the company stop this behavior?

I don’t get it. This type of behavior keeps happening and being rewarded by Ford management. It is not just in the plants. It seems like having a policy, 30 minute training and a few public statements by Ford managers claiming they do not tolerate behaviors, excuses looking the other way and blaming the victim.

@ake+1byr1Xmd The guy at the top of the company is notorious for his temper tantrums and abrasiveness. People see that behavior being rewarded and follow suit.

Wouldn't have these issues with a fully automated factory.

The more logical approach adopted by ethical companies is to fire the abusive employees, not protect them and rehire them. This applies to all employees no matter their gender and other attributes.
Most men do treat women respectfully just like they would want their daughters treated.
The problem is Ford consistently protects the bad actors.
The bad actors instill fear in others that they will become the target if they speak up.

Maybe go back to having all men work at plants - that would solve the problem. Oh exit?, that is way too easy and logical isn’t it. How about a plant only made up of just womez then, including womez supervision- that would be better, right?

They can't stop it because they don't want to. This behavior is rampant at Ford because that is the personality type that gets promoted. The whole system at Ford is to elevate bad actors, and repress/ remove good and caring people. All the HR policies are just for show and to put up in court as a defense when they get caught and someone can get a lawsuit in front of a judge and jury. Ford will never change because most of the execs and management are truly horrible people. And that us not an exaggeration. This stuff happens right in the open and HR would rather burn the whistle-blower at the stake than get rid of the offenders.
