Fire anyone who moved to XTO from the Upstream organizations. Remember the angry and stupid Ortwein? We all know how stupid and incompetent UIS RTD transfers to XTO are.

Old timer advice was never relocate without a promotion. Get your premium in base pay which is benefit bearing (match plus pension). If they will not promote you to relocate simply say no to the relocation. XOM will get desperate to fill key openings. Promotion policy is more flexible than the COLA and can be approved at lower levels

What you have just posted is a reason for Job Opening Postings.
There are quite a few folks who are qualified for openings in Permian who originate from NM/ W.TX who are not offered an assignment nearer Lubbock or Artesia or Midland. They would appreciate the opportunity to move out there, but our current process doesn’t allow one to bid on a job like in the old days.

I’m sure you gained your goal of gaining downvotes.
Most folks out in Midland/Carlsbad and heading out there are ExxonMobil employees.
Well, actually all of them are now.
Should we give a premium to the folks that originated there, say pre 2013, probably not.
But to encourage new folks to come, sure. And they should save that premium for their relocation and selling at a loss when this is done.
Ask our Chadian colleagues who are left with empty promises.

It’s already been resolved with a July 1 10% reinstatement in Midland and Carlsbad.

Greedy leeches worried about draining extra money. Could you please think about doing something that has a real purpose and not based on greed for more money.

Fire all those godda-n XTO employees who are complaining about not getting premium COLA. Matter will be resolved.

Even if it came back (unlikely imo) I’d be very hesitant to take an assignment knowing the company could revoke the premium at any time and now has a proven track record to this effect.
