Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Are you ready to return to the office?

There isn't much time left. I know a lot of people who started looking for a new job when it was confirmed that working from home is not a permanent option here. I don't care after all, but I think for most it will be a real shock after being spared the toxic atmosphere in the office for a long time.

Let. People. Work. Remote. (If they choose to, for life circumstances or if it allows them to work more efficiently.)
This “culture” stuff is nonsense.

There are many people already back in offices including myself. Not sure why they keep saying that people arent back till september. They had lots of people in the office at the up to speed last wednesday sitting side by side I thought?

NOT going back into that office with the Delta variant surfacing. This should not even be a debate for Verizon when so many lives can be lost but then again they don't care. The way they look at it is 1 less salary and medical benefits to pay which would put more money into some stupid higher management's pocket. I'm not risking my life for Verizon, they would never do the same for me.

Delta is real. Meeting your co-workers whose lives we have zero control of is like playing Russian roulette with our own lives. All we need is one Delta case!

I can't wait to see you all again, you may have smelly body odor and bad breath, but I always smile, back up a foot or so, and then talk about you behind your back to all of our coworkers. Bring mouthwash and use it once every hour, you know who you are. (Maybe you don't, which is even sadder)

It is good that we are starting to return to the office in a safe and secure fashion. I look forward to seeing my fellow coworkers again. I get that some of us will have long commutes mine will be long, and it is not every day in the hybrid in my area.

I literally don’t know anyone that’s looking for a new job because we have to go back to the office. Get it together, stop crying, and do your freakin job.
