Sources in Houston tell me we're in for a real bloodbath in Permian. Retirement eligible are the probable targets. What a shame ! They've given their all to this ungrateful bunch of jerks for decades and this is the thanks they get. I'm sure they've got their eye on a whole sh!t load of NREs who'll plunge in ranking this year regardless of their contributions and will be sacrificed next year to make the numbers. ( it must really fry their a$$es to have to put up with the NREs knowing they can't touch them unless they really sc--w up bad). I wish I were in that position just to hang around and torment them but only in my late 40s (damn it).

Yep. Permian Facilities are saved because Delaware Facilities are gone, and it is going to be difficult to fire the Permian Club.
@OP - well, join the club that started in 2020. As we keep getting told: “we’re all in this together” (unless you’re a manager).
The bosses will figure out a way to cut the XOM lifers--NREs. Those weasels have overstayed their welcome and should get going so we can hire more offshore talent.
Do not worry if you work for facilities at Permian, they are saved.
Unfortunately there are people in the Permian who have been with XOM for decades. A lot of the field hands who worked sold GOM shelf assets and SYU were sent to the Permian. A number of them are NRE and RE. I just can't believe how low our management can go.
I'd wager that a lot of Permian employees haven't been with the company for decades.
The difference between bloodletting and bloodbath is quite a bit, OP.
You state your case with such eloquence.
NSI to you.
