Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Is ExxonMobil India office going to shutdown?

More than 50% of attrition and all the work being msp’d.

No it will not be shutdown even if salaries go up 25% the costs are really cheap compared to the US where a new college graduate earns $100K. Add the 40% adder for benefits, you can hire 2-3 in India for the same money. This is why BTC and KLTC will remain.

How well a new office with college grads and random hires will perform initially is debatable. Neither office has an effective strategy for improving effectiveness. The USA workforce is tired of dealing with these sites at night and early morning.

Given our dysfunctional management and their inability learn from others companies and the fact half of XOM work is BS a anyway it will not matter.

It may not be 50% but it’s sure way above the “less than 5%” that was one of the selling points to management and the business units.

You figures are utterly ridiculous, attitudinal is less than 15%

Moving positions to MSP isn’t attrition.

Yet another brilliant mess the company has created. Tremendous attrition stateside, moving work to India and an even higher attrition rate there. No one will won’t to come to xom unless big dollars are paid in the future and loyalty on both sides will never exist again. I dont see them turning the ship around on this one,

It is crazy to think of rumours such as this.
Hughes Landing (Texas US) will close next year with no retentions.
And probably the Research site in New Jerzey US.
So mostly US anyway for the costs.
But the idea of cuts in Bengalaru is crazy.
I'm not in high position, but it makes sense.
