HR resignation

I just heard another resignation this morning. I am not sure if i am the first to post about her but she shocked her manager. Finger pointing, excuses and blame are being shared among 3 or 4 GM/managers. They are now questioning who is "next".

BCG and Deloitte are asking where they should send the flowers. They can squeeze 6 more consultants to replace this one person.

I still say we could lose 98% of HR and not even miss it. This would be an excellent function to outsource, if it didn't mess up our diversity numbers doing so.

Most chevron managers either left Chevron and came back, or are from other firms. He-l, even RM did it. They love when the talent leaves....more job security for them.

If we are speaking about the same person, she made her intentions very clear. Managers just thought that they had all the power. She was not bashful telling anyone that would listen that she was unhappy with her career progress.

HR and all functions for that matter should ditch the PDC process. The PDCs are rife with cronyism and if an employee’s PDR is not vocal or respected by the other PDRs then that employee is outta luck.

Thats what happens when Chevron cuts positions and pay, when the market is sky rocketing. My friend who is a recruiter is looking for jobs for "many" Chevron people in HR.
