Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Confusing

I’m so confused at this point. I work in CSSC . Suddenly all the calls just stopped. Nobody has an answer at all. Union is no help. All overtime has stopped. No calls but the quota is the same. 25 calls to 10 per day. Verizon says the calls are not being sent anywhere. I don’t believe that.

It's never been this quiet. I've been here for almost 5 yrs. I got hired on after the strike. I was here maybe 6 months before forced OT everyday and little to no M time. Like OP says, goals have not changed in the recent months where call volume has been down.

Idleness is devil's workshop..ATT gained 2.8 wireless customers in 2020. T mobile gain 1 St 2 ND quarter 2021. VZ lost 400,000 wireless in 6 weeks 2021 then promoted free phones but that promo stopped July 21 when 2nd qtr earning announced.VZ is 150 billion in debt...they borrowed to win the C-band auction in Jan 2021.ATT & T mobile had more wireless customer adds in 2nd qtr 2021. Declining wireless sales revenue will pay union salaries.Read the quarterly earnings to see the trends.

The calls are going to the smart people who are working from home. Ask your union rep why their against this.

Imagine a US based unionized call taker in 2021. No company can survive with that 😂🤣

No OT and M time probably punishment for the union refusing to agree with WFH

Of course they’re sending the calls elsewhere!! This has been a running cycle for years!! M time has not been this prevalent since the strike….hopefully prepping for a buyout for us 4th quarter…Nobody should be taking M time….make them pay us for doing nothing…it’s their own doing
