Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

How many have had it up to here?

Not the Bell Telephone System of old. Most tenured employees have had/seen enough. Not at all the company they signed on for. No one wants to be associated with the current rendition of T. The only folks not ashamed of the current T is those with big payputs, they have no morals whatsoever, this is C-suite and BOD. How much coin do Rat and Stankey need to ensure their grezt, great, great grandkids never have to work for a living? I'll bet most employees never dreamed their hitch at T would end this way!

Suggestion: Every time you feel overwhelmed and ‘had it up to here’, write your antiheroes (Stankey and/or Stephenson) a personal letter expressing your ‘feelings’. I’m sure they’ll respond back to you. Let us know how it goes.

Sears, Montgomery Wards, JC Penney, Woolworths, KMart all were grossly mismanaged, and so declined into oblivion. Two of them were put in the grave by Eddy Lambert. Add GE to that list because of Jeff Emmelt.

The question is if Ratty and Stinky's corrupt, gross mismanagement will do the same for T? Perhaps T has passed the point of no return?

Certainly Whitaker, Ratty, Whitaker's son-in-law, and Stinky are still lining their bank accounts. Whitaker still has his T corporate credit card and still charges to it. That besides his junkets on the corporate jets. WTF?

You have a choice, leave if you have had enough.

I’ll bet those who are old enough to remember never thought Sears, Montgomery Wards, JC Penney, Woolworths, KMart….would dissipate or completely disappear either. Divestiture was 37 years ago….many changes have impacted the industry. It is not the same company your granddad worked at. Time to stop looking back.

While the company is nickel-and-diming 1-2% merit raises, the executive rank has blown billions "due to change in market conditions". Where is the accountability??

Let's all quote Stankey's "due to change in market conditions" in the next annual review, plenty of justifications for pay raises.
