It’s been stated multiple times that budgets WOULD need to be shared amongst managers. DING DING DING, the funding will be a joke. Managed decline is right.
The original question was “WHEN will raises be given?”
Listen peanut, it doesn’t effing matter WHEN if there isn’t any budget to give anything.
How can they think to give raises when people are going to be LR'd? With a new CFO who has not experienced a Fiscal year end who knows where and what his mindset is and who is in his ear telling him what to do.
The original question was “WHEN will raises be given?”
Yes, I was listening, but they didn’t say what the budget would be. Weren’t you reading?
It was clearly stated that promotions and pay rises take effect from last week of October in the USA and from Nov 1 in the rest of the world.
Were you not listening?
Again, during our BU all hands, this question was asked about 10 times, and the answers were incomprehensible and/or conflicting. We did not get a clear answer on whether there was a meaningful budget for it. But I think their obfuscation tells you all you need to know. I would not expect a cost-of-living increase in any developed economy (why change the trend of the last 5-6 years?).
Rewards Planning is Aug 23-Sept 9. The U.S. bonus payout is Oct. 1.
The planning starts in late august and ends in early september. It should get effective in late september or early october. Thats what my manager mentioned.. You should ask yours too. Maybe you get a titbit or more too , to fuel the flames here

Don't forget the licensing.
Two responses on Layoff.com within 30 minutes of being asked.
HR should try to beat that. Your manager should try to beat that.
I think Cisco should buy Layoff.com and package it as a service to other Furtune 500 companies that have boards here. Given our smart pricing strategy we'd squeeze out a billion or two out of this scheme.
You'll get it in Aug. See with your manager what the schedule is and what to expect
No they did not say you’ll get raises in August. The focal cycle opens up in August and closes in September for planning. If you get a raise, it will be in September or October. This is a great question to ask your manager during your 1 to 1 meeting as she will be the one putting in the details for your raise.
Only Directors and above receive cost of living raises.
