Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Loved my Job, but I resigned today

I told my manager I quit because of the Bank's RTO policy. He tried to say they can accommodate, but line HR mgrs are putting a pad lock on that process now and heavy scrutiny for people that have it or will be renewing. Looks like they went downhill and strictly enforcing RTO.

I found a contract job for 1yr that will allow me to work remote. It pays me nearly 2x as much and if they don't renew my contract then so be it. It's 2x the salary and I can take a year to figure it out.

I'm not happy to leave honestly because I loved my job and my team, but I no longer want to be part of this company as a whole.

Congrats on the new gig! the pandemic is not over and they are pushing us to RTO. it's not convenient for many people. I am going back to the office, but I'm trying to relocate to another state. I'm taking my time with my decision. I don't want to regret it later.

Really brave move. I may follow suit. The fact that they literally do not care about our mental and physical well being is astounding. The pandemic is still very much going on, and WFH has worked well for many months. This inability to pivot shows a lack of leadership. I understand that things were headed in the right direction and therefore September was the slated reopening date, but now things are going in the wrong direction. Admit a mistake had been made, and push back the RTO. While you’re at it, why don’t you invest some serious money to implement a true hybrid model.
