Not bad for. 51 YO white dude that is comfortably masculine.
Hoping to ride this into the sunset but unsure if I can hang another 6-8 years..

Almost 21 years and got laid off in 2016.
What’s the package when u are only less than a few years?
The same as everyone else's. After 10 yrs of service, they add an extra week of severance for every year of service over 10. After 20 yrs of service, they add an extra two weeks of severance for every year of service over 20.
So, for 25 yrs of service, you'd get 10 extra weeks for years 10 - 19 and 12 extra weeks for years 20 - 25, totaling 22 extra weeks of severance. But who are we kidding, the number of people with 25 yrs of service any more are only a couple of hundred people by now.

I got let go after two years
21 years and took the ER in 2020. Jumped right into a very hot job market. Thanks for the 6 figure net payout Cisco!
20 years and took the ER in 2020.
There is no set formula and it depends on when you started. I started in 1995 and there were no lay-offs until the first one in 2001. Then the first ER was offered in 2011 followed by an LR. LRs have been annual since then.
I made it almost 15 years. That seemed to be the cutoff time for LRs when I was laid off in 2015. The guy who laid me off is at my new company now.
I still check here from time to time because I spent half of my working life and 25% of my entire life here.
