So far Cisco is saying they are respectful of people's personal choice to get or not get the vaccine, even rattling off reasons they understand why people would not get the vaccine. Anybody here about that changing given Google and Facebook announcements on mandatory vaccines.

These posts don't consider pregnant women, individuals with pre-existing conditions (who's doctors have recommended they do not get these - because spike proteins are dangerous for them), young adults who do not need protection because they are at nearly no risk of death, those who have allergies/chemical sensitivities, or those with religious concerns.
Good ideas do not need coercion. Taking something that is experimental and rushed is obviously not a good idea to everyone or we wouldn't need to bribe people or threaten their jobs to get them to comply. I do not care to live in a world with any coerced or forced medical procedures - that is a vile world.

Just Get the vaccine….ge-z! If you think the vaccine is a risk because it is not fully approved you are in for a real treat with the non fully approved treatments you will be in for at the hospital with covid 19 to attempt to keep you alive. The non vaccine logic is just beyond word.
Honor system doesn't work. Anti-vaxxers are lying they are vaccinated. if companies want us back in the office, demand proof of vaccination from employees and the ones who don't want to vaccinate can stay home or look for another job.

If it was my company, I'd give everyone 45 days to get vaccinated or leave. Period. Sorry...if you want to risk other peoples' lives, you can do it on your own time, not mine. If you are not vaccinated, you are part of the problem, not the solution. That's a pretty typical business response.
Cisco will require vaccination for the RTP campus at least.

Ok, keep your damn bonus. I will work less to "recoup" my bonus. I will introduce intentional bugs into code, then fix it once devtest team finds them. More time wasting. You lose Cisco.
No vax, no bonus is just a rumor on this site.
As to intentionally writing bugs into code, I see several problems with that. My team requires code reviews, so someone's looking at your sh---y code. When enough bugs keep being found by the devtest team, and it's your code over and over, then you and the person who's consistently approving your code will be targets to an LR, if not fired rather than waiting for the next LR.
If you do manage to slow things down enough, then your product just isn't worth Cisco's costs and Cisco cuts that product and your whole team gets the axe. Now you and your team loses.
Seems much simpler to just say you were vaccinated since they have no way of proving differently. At least, not until they require you to actually show proof instead of just self declaring.
Thanks for demonstrating how stupid some people really are. The US has lifted the mask mandate and social distancing after the infection rates started to drop and now the unvaccinated are getting sick in huge numbers in low vaccination areas which proves the vaccination works. Simply just get your shot(s) and quit whining about it. Then you can get back to doing real work and getting the bonus you deserve.

So far no requirement, but they are putting burdens on the unvaccinated to encourage them to get the shots.
Right now, they are using the "honor system" and allowing people to self declare their status in Workday (HR tool). If you say you're vaccinated, you no longer require weekly testing, and once the mask mandate is lifted, you won't have to wear a mask. If you declare yourself as unvaccinated, or refuse to share your status, you will require weekly tests and have to wear a mask at all times.
I'm guessing that most people will say they're vaccinated regardless of their status just to avoid having a swab shoved up their nose every week.
Stop asking.
Cisco will require except for medical and limited religious reasons. Those folks will have to be tested at least weekly. Just get the vaccine and be done with it. Ge-z
