Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Really, folks?

Can we get some good news without people crapping all over it? Yes, I know things suck at EM right now. I know there are very few positive things and that's not likely to change. But precisely because of that, can we enjoy when we do get some good news at least for five minutes before going all negative again?

The only good news I care about is my increment and benefits. Why should employees care if the company have record earnings blah blah blah if the money only goes into the executives pockets?

The good news: you're alive.
The bad news: you're alive and you work for XOM.
The best news: 50 years from now none of this will have mattered.

OP, there are NO good news for EM. The best that can be said is that higher oil prices got us a bit above previous catastrophic levels. But what’s the point of even getting into a discussion like that - to ask for “positive thoughts” on a layoff site in the very middle of hypocritically disguised layoffs (PIPoffs, a word coined at EM) shows a stupidity and indifference to your colleagues that comes only from an upper manager or a totally brainwashed loser.

Dear OP,

Would love to read your objective top 3 of "positive things" at EM!

Threads like this are some of the most ignorant I see on these boards. You come to a layoff board which includes people who have had their careers destroyed and been lied on to ask why they cannot post something positive? Are you fn kidding me?

Did they start the stock buybacks again?

@OP - (1) stick your head down the toilet; (2) flush; (3) go back and repeat steps (1) & (2)

If anything, the good news prove that the earnings of the company just follow the crude price and have nothing to do with the performance of the great leader and his buddies. Not to mention that the bonuses are completely unjustified!

Wake up - it’s like trying to find announcement of weddings and births in mortuary’s column.

It’s like going to Emo and expecting rave

It’s like going to mental asylum and trying to find Apple Genius Bar

It’s like Trump rally and trying to find Greta

It’s like going to Biden rally and trying to find Mike Lindell

It’s like going to Fast and Furious movie and looking for cerebral content

It’s like going to Dollar Tree and trying to find Nike shoes

Should I go on?

OP: the good news is the you are an id--t. Since you are so d-mb, you will survive in the toxic ExxonMobil pool. Your incompetency makes you highly desired for roles such as supervisor, “Advisor”, planner, safety lead etc. In our esteemed company.

You need not worry about getting laid off. You are a perfect fit for ExxonMobil. How about this for a good news?

So hard working colleagues are witnessing their friends (some with serious medical issues) getting pop’s and laid off.

OP thinks they should be happy DW got a raise. Clowns.

Bro/sis, you’re on a site called “The Layoff”, and work for a company that has and is still conducting an effective layoff.

What’s the good news again?
