Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Pay increase from 2022?

Considering there was a pay freeze in 2021, and EM reporting higher profits now, will we be getting a pay adjustments to account for the pay freeze next year?

Exxon no longer look after their staff , and 2022's pay offering just goes to prove it.
It's an insult!

Raw data for annual salary survey is all screwed up this year due to COVID.....basically, top performers and those that would be regretted losses will get some treatment.

The pandemic was an unexpected but most welcome excuse for EM to lay off the way they have and will continue to do after 2021. EM's finances were red before Covid hit us all.

To @wii+1c6VK1JW: every day an employee does his/her job as per expectation this should bring money to the company. If it does not, there is something wrong with the company, not with that employee. Yes, it is that simple.

You’ll get a raise if you slept with the right person. I have witnessed it for at least three years now. It is fact not assumption.

The company plan currently has raises planned for US (depending on work group: upstream, downstream/chemical, staff). If you have a friend in plan, they will have access to the dataguide and can give you the details.

Chances they will take into account 2020 performance when salaries were frozen is slim to none. So if you were outstanding last year, probably won’t matter.

You may get a raise and then PIP'd, totally possible and mgmt. could possibly do it that way. Know a few that got promoted mid last year, were ranked well then got laid off. Mike all you want while you can, or find another employer. It is your destiny, up to you.

Only DW and a chosen few will get raises. The rest of us will continue to toil for nothing. They might throw a bone to the masses to stop a revolt but that won’t even keep pace with inflation.

I believe there will be, just not in the US. Budapest is getting some bonus adjustments and promotion that were not given in 2021. there are few other countries getting something similar for mid year adjustment and increment for 2022.

No, ExxonMobil has incurred tremendous debit as a result of the pandemic. It seems unlikely that they will be able to extend raises in the coming year. Hopefully they put a little something together for us, but I wouldn’t bank on it.

The main question to ask: how have I made money for the company today?
