Pay close attention to see if Chevron continues to use PollEV. If they don't it will tell us that they're not serious about change, afraid of tough questions, and/or unprepared. JG was completely unprepared for his townhall and figured that his support staff would manage the peasants.

Bill was more accountable than JG, and unafraid to be asked the hard questions. That's an effing leader in my book.

JG and BCG have destroyed, not transformed the TPS organization. Let's hope E tells BCG to start packing.

JG self destrûcted and got canned for being an undeniable embarrassment. There was no way that tightwad greedy fûck just willingly walked away from all that money.

this is what happens when executives hide behind workplace Q&As during transformation townhalls. The moment JG opened up to PollEV, all ballistic missiles came through.

He was shocked to learn that he was sitting in a small parochial place too.

JG always came off to me as a charlatan, a con artist of sorts. He was nothing but a stage act. Like they say in Texas— All hat and no cattle. I’m glad he’s gone, whether it was his decision or not. Hopefully, his replacement can properly serve the company.

JG’s “retirement” is more like a swift push out the door. Considering the speed of the announcement, “effective immediately,” and recent relo… I really don’t think the was JG’s original plan. I believe his “victim mindset” comment was the last straw as JG poured gasoline on the morale dumpster fire. I can picture the scenario where a certain executive was fed up with his drama and told JG to pack up.

He moved to Houston in May this year and will retire in March next year. Based on company relocation policy,, an employee is required to stay with the company for at least a year following relocation. Let”s see if HR will collect the repayment.

His move to Houston was strictly for income tax purposes once he retires and takes his various stock, pension and bonus benefits, among others. Massive savings compared to California taxes. JG is all about the money, despite what he says. A penny pincher of the first water.

Didn’t we just pay to move him to Houston?!? What a scam! Any chance he will repay it? I know one of my colleagues had to years ago.

This was all in the plans, probably going back to at least 2019 (yes, pre-Covid). JG was to lend his 'insight' and 'experience' to the Transformation, which was just muddled by Covid, otherwise he likely planned on retiring March 1, 2020. Note how he'll stick around until bonus time next year (however that works for EVPs, but sure to maximize tax avoidance), between now and then he'll do basically nothing but attend sycophant-run retirement parties, maybe take a few last junkets to Perth, Singapore, or London. Assuming that we get back into the office no later than January, 2022, expect DP to be the next one with an 'outstanding career' to retire, maybe JJ as well.

Wishful thinking, they will fill position from outside with someone senior from Amazon, Google or Microsoft. Again, just wishful thinking and hard to fight this company's nepotism.

I suspect he will dominate and slap a lot of high end hòòkers in retirement.

When does the de-transformation start? Wonder who will be our new over lord?

They are prepping EB for the CEO job fast. Maybe MW will not have a ten year tenure.

I wonder if he's playing the victim after a probably forced retirement.

After how great things have been after the layoff and how terrible IT has been I know everyone will really miss JG.

Well that was fast. Usually there’s a transition period. This change is effective immediately. MW must have been fed up with JG’s sh*t.
