These Vaccine Mandates Are Getting Out Of Control

I've seen like 100 companies mandate the vaccine. It seems like it's only a matter of time until Exxon follow suit.

“ Following consensus medical advice vs actively going against consensus medical advice during a once on a century pandemic.”

I can only explain it to you. I can’t also understand it for you @1Gxdh+1cArj9Fe.

Buddy, what you’ve got going there is not politics or even ideology, it’s pure religion. At least right-wingers are honest and straightforward about theirs.

Following consensus medical advice vs actively going against consensus medical advice during a once on a century pandemic. Gee, how can anyone possibly say which side is right?? I know, I’ll use my super logic and blame both sides.

It’s always funny when somebody fanatically partisan explains that his side is “overwhelmingly” right. Very convincing.

“ So you can pretend that an insignificant number of double maskers with blue hair at unheard of liberal arts colleges that you’ve only seen on YouTube clips are as big a danger as the overwhelming majority of GOP’ers in this country (50% of the pop) who refuse to act responsibly as we have.”

Seems like this is exactly what you’re doing with your replies. Doesn’t make me feel righteous, makes me sad for this country.

Keep thinking that you’ll solve a problem if you don’t correctly diagnose it first, or just stand on the sideline and hope it goes away when both sides come to their senses (since apparently only the neutral are righteous?).

So having an independent mind is is now called by the tribalists “bothsde’ism”.
Makes sense. No side is completely right, but your side is mostly right so you’re righteous.
You’re just repeating yourself, if you noticed. Narrow mind, tribal instincts, intolerance under a thin veneer of education. Same as the bubbas, but more pretentious.

“ It would be my pleasure to see you gasping for breath at the cube, or any other location, loser!”
Agressive tribalism in full swing. Just as disgusting when it comes from anti-vaxxers. Once you lower yourself to absurd arguments and insults, It doesn’t even matter for which tribe you’re doing it. It’s the inner cave man coming out. I’m sure this will bring only more insults from both sides. “From each, according to their means”.

A much bigger problem than absolutism in America is what you’ve just done: bothside’ism. No side of any argument is ever 100% right, but when one side of an argument is overwhelmingly wrong and the other side is overwhelmingly correct, if you say “but both sides”, all you’re doing is helping the side that’s overwhelmingly wrong.

So you can pretend that an insignificant number of double maskers with blue hair at unheard of liberal arts colleges that you’ve only seen on YouTube clips are as big a danger as the overwhelming majority of GOP’ers in this country (50% of the pop) who refuse to act responsibly as we have.

Enjoy your Sunday, it’s beautiful out if you’re in HTX.

As a person who’s fully vaccinated plus one booster, I fully agree with the FIRST part of what you’re saying (the vaccine lessens the chance of getting Covid and especially of getting a really bad outcome).
The second part is highly questionable - that if everybody would just get the vaccine everything would be back to normal in a pinch. There would still be breakthrough infections and people would still die, although in smaller numbers, but the “double-masked” would not agree to return to normal so easily. They wouldn’t their power trip to end with a whimper.
This type of absolutist approaches that simply demonizes people who disagree is part of the problem, not part of the solution. This is not simply good guys against bad guys. Two wrongs don’t make a right, but that seems to be too complicated for today’s America.

The vaccine GREATLY LESSENS the chance that you’ll get the virus, it GREATLY LESSENS the chance you’ll pass it on, it GREATLY LESSENS the chance you’ll be hospitalized, and it GREATLY LESSENS the chance you’ll die. So if everyone just acted responsibly and got vaccinated the issue in this country would be over, the economy would be completely back on track, and life would be back to normal.

You know all of this, but you find it more gratifying to pretend there is another reality where you get to own the libs by being irresponsible.

If the vaccine doesn’t give you 100% protection from getting or giving Covid, then the only real benefit is that you will have a higher probability of lower impact symptoms once you get Covid (because we will all get it at some point). So mandating a shot that only does this, seems a bit extreme when it comes to personal choice. If the government is so concerned with the health of individuals, then why not outlaw cigarettes, donuts, and other things that directly damage our health?

Anti vaxxers are such babies. Like you have so many other vaccination when you are kid and apparently this one is the stopping point

They need to sign a waiver that waives them from getting care once they get it. #StrongImmuneSystem

The concept of herd immunity also includes vaccination, dodo 🙄

Sweden is currently at about 80% vaccination now. Thanks for your eight month old talking points. You stoopid.

Simple unambiguous solution for EM:

  • Mandate the Vaxx for all non-MPT and MPT below CL 28 in US. No vaxx, no job.
  • MPT 28 or above that does get Vaxx, immediate termination for cause. All stock options and retirement withdrawn. 401K only and Cobra. No excuses.

Why not us? Why not now?

To the anti-vaccine troll: downvoting posts that point out how untrue (and frankly unhinged) your claims are and upvoting your own doesn’t make you less wrong.

It is not the responsibility of your employer or society at large to accommodate your emotional investment in baseless conspiracy theories. The vaccines are safe, and they save lives. Full stop. If you’re emotionally invested in some alternative reality where that isn’t true, that’s your problem.

If EM requires vaccination and you’re really adamant about your position as anti-science, you can always quit your job and go work for another company that doesn’t require the vaxx.

I guess y’all looooove the free market until a private company asks you to do something you dont want to. Then you wail like a baby on anonymous message boards.

Requiring all employees to get vaccinated would be the first sound decision EM has made in a year.

Well if exxon is going to require vaccinations maybe they'll get off their a-s and help expats living in countries without access to vaccines. So far it's been every man for themself with zero support from the company to either assist in providing vaccines or at least facilitating exit/entry processes to travel home and return.

@pda+1cArj9Fe Get out of your shell and look up the data. Most admitted to hospitals are non vaxxed. The reason vaxxed are meaner to non vaxxed is because non vaxxed are contracting and helping the virus continue its course via mutating.

Post ID: @kfe+1cArj9Fe

i noticed those in favor of the vax are getting meaner and nastier. Why are those who are vaxxed so concerned about those who are not? if you are vaxxed, you should not worry about getting COVID - right? That was what you were told.

Sorry about being lied to that you will not need to mask again. I suggest you take that up with your policy maker.

One can only hope! For being such a “science based technology company” it scares me the number of decision makers who are openly antivaccine and actively believe conspiracy theories. Like microchips for tracking etc….

As if your cell phone you actively use every minute of the day doesn’t give a 1000x more info… 😂

If you can get the vaccine you should. My mother lives in Houston and had to go by ambulance to the hospital yesterday on orders from her doctor. She is 84 and had cracked her pelvis. Usually he would send her to Methodist West in Katy. He had to send her to Richmond because on no beds in Katy or The Med Center. Ended up Richmond did not have what she needed and finally a bed opened in Katy, so they took her back there. She got in her room at 10:00pm last night after leaving her house around noon Sunday. Last week I lost a 48 year old cousin, and over the past three weeks there have been three team members out because of Covid. My son also missed two weeks of work during the timeframe because he had Covid. I will not try and shame anyone, but this is just my experiences over the last three weeks. All of the people I know that had not had the vaccine. In June of 2020 my brother lost his brother in law to Covid as well, but this Delta seems to be infecting more.

Unvaccinated can do us all a favor and not go to a hospital when they catch the corona. They attack doctors and scientists but the moment they can’t breathe they will be running to the nearest clinic.
