I haven't met a person who left Intel and lived to regret it. Has anybody?

I left last year. I making close to double what my total comp was an Intel. I feel like they underpaid me for all those years I was there and wish I had left sooner.
No regrets at all as I left 5 years ago to NVIDIA after spending more than that years in Intel.
Intel has broken culture that is supported by dishonest HR. Over the time during the last decade and many cycles of internal employee recycling more capable people left and in average less capable stayed.
I remember while I was there when talking to colleagues that I respect, we used to look at the Intel values card (the card that everyone gets and carries with their badge) and I had numerous cases where people started going over those values and simply stated that they either see opposite or none of it. It took time for all that to get to me until I got some dirty play by a crooked management. I can thank that, as my new career has been revived.
Politics, nepotism anti-meritocracy (not just inclusion and diversity) was and from what I hear is still at extreme high level.
I do believe that PG is the right choice for the CEO, but not sure he'll have clarity and wisdom how to cut the B.S., avoid be manipulated and make tough moves. I wish I could have his ear to wake him up on how to fix Intel, as so far I do not see it (i.e. from what I hear culture is not addressed)
I haven’t met anyone who regretted leaving, but there are many who are angry at getting forced out in one of the many job cuts. It seemed that too many political/toady ICs and old-boy-network managers survived those cuts while newly-minted managers and ICs that raised tough questions did not.
Should have left sooner. There is not enough$$ in the world to make me go back.
I actually did enjoy working at Intel before ACT, not so much afterwards. The program to get rid of people was a text book template on how to sc--w up a once successful company ... Essentially I left 2019 but would come back to an Intel as it once was 2012 not the one it is today ...
I worked at Intel for 23 years. I left over a year ago and have been working at a small software company (< 100 people). It's been wonderful to be away from the politics, project cancellations, re-orgs, etc. The benefits at a larger company like Intel are better, but it's worth the costs to one's physical and mental health.
To all you youngsters out there do yourself a big favor and choose another company, you'll be very thankful not to waste your life away at intel. For some of us we no longer have much choice, but wish we made different decisions with our lives.
Well Intel is quite family friendly, in the context of allowing mid-management to hire their own family members.
Many manager’s wives got a buttload of CTR stock because their husbands traded favors with each other.
If you want a career a family and feel proud everyday you come home, it isn’t Intel.
20 years ago you cold be proud, ten years ago you could see the rot everywhere and now the B$ is everywhere and the koolaid is even more stanky everywhere, you can’t wash that stuff off, how can anyone of influence look in the mirror and go to work. I guess if money is the most important thing and you can’t get anything equal outside, but seriously is that paycheck an honorable one ?
I left. It was a no-brainer decision. They did not treat employees well and were very cult-like

Strolling through a mountain meadow of wildflowers under a clear cerulean sky with a sweet, sweet dog just cannot be beat.
The warm sun on my face and fresh air in my lungs with the birds singing feels so good.
What is there to miss is Folsom. People love Folsom so they tolerate Intel
Only two possible regrets; 1) Didn’t leave earlier 2) Never worked at intel to begin with.
