I don't know about "postal", but there was a chemical engineer who worked for AlliedSignal who was a co-conspirator in the 1993 truck bo----g of the World Trade Center. That would be a "toxic" event. I don't know if work had anything to do with his behavior.

@1eye+1cDNAVhK: Wow, you are so superior. Umm, I think that narcissist label fits YOU to a T. You care nothing about other people. It's all about you isn't it? You might just be management material at MoneyHell.

@1tii+1cDNAVhK A few people have "gone postal" at Honeywell. Why do you think the fourth floor of Sky Harbor has been locked down for years. They just don't want anyone to know it. I don't want anyone to get hurt, but Honeywell has pushed some people to their breaking points.

What leads to all of that, is poor life choices, made by weak minded individuals. Stop blaming others for for being a bad person. That is called narcissism.

Has anyone gone 'postal' at HON?
I'm surprised they haven't.
This is one dysfunctional environment I was very happy to retire from years ago.
Gratuitous cruelty is a horrible part of this company's corporate culture. It is part and parcel of the nine block "decimation" employee evaluation system.
That is undeniable. Make light of it if you want to. It bothered me and I got out.
There's no excuse for treating employees, who are actually real people, this way.
Reminds me of a bumper sticker I saw years ago: "Mean People Suck".
That certainly applies to the GE spawned upper management at HON.

This environment certainly could lead to mental/emotional breakdown in certain types of individuals, especially those with latent substance abuse tendencies, exposure to family violence, fragile egos, and anger management issues. I have personally watched it eat away at two people I know well.

That level of behavior is only required for executive leadership.
Reference our prior CEO and his ambian addiction?
Lol...remember the black eye he had...

In what world does your job dissatisfaction make you mistreat your family? That is absolutely ridiculous.

OP: This post is incredibly overly dramatic. If my job ends I'll just get a new one like I did three other times. No I'm not going to begin drinking, doing dr-gs, starting spousal abuse, cheat on my wife, etc. because I work at Honeywell. You have other major problems with your personal life if the items described in your post overwhelm you simply due to where you work. Yawn.
