Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Raises

I see Walmart news today, at least $1 hour raise to front end, merchandisers, and other departments. Does this also include Sam's Club? Please, serious replies. Thank you.

Sadly I've been here for 3 years and make 15 a hour, just like everyone new who gets hired and gets paid 15 a hour. No respect for existing associates. They should increase are pay, .50 cents for every year, plus merit based raises annually, not 2% flat raises for every. Reward loyalty!!

I've been with the company for over 16 years, and still making less than $15 an hour

30 years here. I out work all new associates in merchandising but yet have to watch them get pay raises to close to what I make. Sure after all the time I understand that I should be better at merchandising and all the little things like remembering price signs and pallet profile. But.. at my age the teenagers and twenty somethings should work rings around me , they do not.... where's my raise in thanks for what I do?... not coming... sad sad sad that long term workers are apparently beheld with such disdain....

To the last response. Our club as well. Front end associates and member team leads are expected to do anything and everything where ever that may be. Often at the sacrifice to being staffed up front and resulting in very late breaks and lunches for everyone. But don't hold your breath for another raise. Walmart got their $15 around the same time we did. But no word yet on any raises for Sam's. Even tho they have now done away with Support and Li---r store associates. Everyone is now just front line. So they got a raise to be the same as everyone else but no additional raises. Even after the 15 raise and creation of specialists at $16, no wage gap increases were given to team leads. So I expect nothing. And I get at some clubs your team leads suck, but not all do, just like not all associates suck. The disrespect and lack of value is across the board.

At our Sams, cashiers are pushed abd pulled to all other areas. Entrance. Exit. Membership. Gas station. Lot. Carts. Bakery. Clothing. Cafe. I know, as I'm one of them

If you have been here long enough you know a raise means more duties:
ie: changing greeter and exit (which they just did a year plus ago!!) So now they are weeding out those that show up, don’t call out and do their job!! You will work membership, cashier, wash carts, attend to entrance and exit door!!!!!And self checkout!! Where is common sense?? One bird in the hand is better than five who don’t show up!! Home office just thinks they have to change things instead of being thankful for dedicated associates!! Never a thank you for job well done!! So if you get a raise look for several team members to be fired!! Now do double duty!!

Still not at fifteen i my area. Don’t think maintenance or gas will ever get fifteen. Time for us all to quit in those areas managers can just do it and state can shut them down for not having a person on site.

Sadly, I think its just for Walmart just like the party raises walmart gave last year to their associates like their leads and hourlys.
