Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

OT? Yeah right!

Our EC has already said no Overtime! I just had to take a 50 minute lunch so I don't hit overtime!

The smeat teams and store support are ki----g teams morals since all teams have to give someone to help these dysfunctional teams and their team leaders are always on leave they constantly run last on the balanced score card.
These tl’s should have been terminated years ago.
Most team members are leaving since they see the smeat tl and the store support tl not fixing anything and they burden other teams by calling them team players then stl send pics out when there is only 1 team member working in any team and saying you could have done more ! So a lot of team members will be leaving now.

Well on my team I am scheduling several PT's at 40 hours so it's likely they will get OT if they want it. We've had to schedule several Part TM's as FT so long they have been automatically given FT status and are eligible for benefits. Whole Foods doesn't like that so maybe they should do something about it?

The overtime is not worth the pain, stress, and the amount of money the IRS will take out of your paycheck. Also, how are the part-timers supposed to benefit for unlimited ot????

I'm sure these retention packages will be every bit as generous as was the COVID bonus.

Your EL sucks. Stores are making labor budgets in the thousands. It’s cool though maybe you’ll win a Honda.

In leadership and burned out. Leaving as soon as I can. These people leading the company are completely out of touch with reality. Read last few posts.

They are scrambling to throw down retention packages with raises for the hourly team. Salaried team is demoralized and looking for options out.

I need to start an Instagram account that just has pictures of all the full hand baskets and shopping cart customers abandon on the floor because the lines are too long. Whole Foods is running their business into the ground. Probably on purpose so they can be sold cheap.

Yeah, our STL demanded all Full time TM's be scheduled at 40 hours and we are approved for pretty much unlimited OT if we want it. Our store was under labor budget by $20,000 last month. My team is over budget but the store as a whole is hurting. We have lines backed up every aisle every day, shelves empty, cut fruit empty, STL's and ATL's are ringing or working meat and bakery counters for hours a day, TM's are overworked, and we aren't even a busy store. Labor is the number one thing holding Whole Foods back right now. It isn't because no one wants to work. I have 50 applicants in my inbox right now. Pay better, and increase budgets so we can hire more people so TM's stop burning out and rage quitting. My TL, ASTL , 2 buyers and several TM's have all burned out, stepped down or left the company just this month. These were valuable TM's with lots of experience too.

You are probably not in a location that is very understaffed its not about appreciation its about desperation for understaffed locations.
