Here’s the thing, I used to give it my all and work 60-70 hour weeks because I never wanted to leave too much work for my teammates knowing they were struggling just as much as I did. Then I realized it’s not on me to make up for the bad decisions by management that believes cutting teams to bare bones is a good business decision. Now, I do what I can in my allotted time. I’ve noticed my teammates are doing the same, it’s almost as we have made a deal (and we didn’t.) Things are not getting done? Well, that’s too bad. If we only had those extra people we’ve been saying we need for months…but I guess we’ll never know.

Got my large buyout to leave & pension/401k & never looked back….Leave the cesspool of a company before it Ruins your mental health.
who works hard just come up with some automation cr-p and come up with a report on how you saved them millions supposedly and then get your bonus and buy your bmw to park in the parking lot.

OP worked 60-70 hours a week because the're inefficient. if you can't do your job in 50 hours a week, maybe its not the job for you.
The next 6 months at ATT are gonna be interesting. Many people retiring (basically being pushed-out), the Oct 11 vaccine mandate will force the company to do something with all the exception requests and folks that just flat-out refuse to be bullied by an anti-american globalist outfit.
Oh yeah, and get ready for mandated booster shots every 6 months with the same threats and reporting requirements as the Oct 11 effort. It's simply an unsustainable way to run a business, just like everything ATT does. A complete disaster.
Then what? Lots of lawsuits and bad PR, plus many folks deciding to just retire on the job. It's not like employee morale and motivation were high before all of this.
If there is a company out there that creates more self-inflicted serious wounds year over year than ATT, I'd like to know what company that is. What a world-class clown show.
I'm salary and work 8 hours a day. The more you continue to multiple jobs, the more they won't replace the people and pile more on you because they know they can. I've seen others pick up the slack for people who left and and none haven't gotten anything for their efforts other than stress.
I used to work at a small company and got rewarded for extra hours with salary and other benefits. When I came to AT&T, nobody got rewarded for anything. The whole salary structure isn't even set up to do that and the recent benefit changes has shown that even more so. Everyone's salary is normalized to the midpoint and the salary range has grown even smaller with new-highers immediately getting benefits of this new range and people like you were around and got piled on aren't getting rewarded with larger raises but in fact smaller ones.
Put in your 8 hours and your life will be much happier.
If you are you salary... who did you think cared.? They will continue to add more work knowing you will do.. not caring about your personal time.. If hourly, that's different.. get OT and bank it.. I'm salary and only doing 8 hours. I already have time on my calendar booked for me!
