Have a "friend of a friend whose cousin knows somebody" who reports out of Clarity. FISV had a 1K headcount reduction in September.
As an aside, I got the 'it's only gonna be contractors who are let go" message too. Directly from the mouth of our mgmt chain. That was a lie, it turns out.
To those head in sand people who said fiserv doesn’t do layoffs, how wrong you were. Fiserv did go through layoffs.
Lmfao this aged like milk. Bet OP got laid off.
This aged well
There is a lot of contractors at Fiserv, specially after the merger, as they are utilizing M&I budget. So many layoff's are just contractor contracts not being renewed as the use for that contractor might be over. Every business do this, as it saves them from taking a payroll expense vs. business expense. Basically creative accounting, but every large size company does it.
Layoffs are most certainly coming. Sooner than later.
@@1akf+1cIkwkvO WHAT?!?!? Of course Fiserv lays off. So did First Data. Frank is the king of RIF's. You're either lying or delusional.
Excels being populated. Salary savings being counted. Synergies being realized.
Fiserv does NOT do layoffs. Period
Jack Welch is the defacto guru of management practice in the business world in the 21st century. You couldn’t walk in the room without a plan to achieve 7% productivity.
5 percent RIF is common knowledge as posted previously here people will be leaving though the month. Makes no sense since most divisions have lost more than that that in 21. Buyer beware! Missing delivery dates in contracts? don't accept Fiserv's financial penalties add breach of contract clauses as well damages paid directly (no flex credits). This company does not make its commitments.
There was an explicit and pointed question about it in one of the calls with upper mgmt, and there was no attempt whatsoever to deny it, instead they claimed that business have the right and the duty to "right size" the workforce.
