Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Rude customer

I have been working in retail for a long time and I have a lot of experience with very difficult customers, but a situation like the other day has never happened to me. I wouldn't like to give details because some here might know right away in which store it happened and to whom, but I will say that this customer scared me a little.
Yes, “the customer is always right,” but at every company I’ve worked in so far, I felt more protected than here. I'm interested in your experiences, do you feel protected from rude customers?

I too have been threatened physically by a member. This member still is allowed to shop. We need security. The company has proven we are disposable.

@uap+1cJ8ltps, if she does it again, tell her to apply for a job at your club. by her coming on board she could prevent another latino from being hired.

Some managers cares and others not. But for my experience,my store, managers had revoked membership to members that pass the line . Respect to the individual, don’t only apply to us associates and managers , members are part of that too .

I have had this happen several times. Where it's bad. There is a pi---d off customer.. then there are the ones who are an inch from touching your face with theirs and threatening your life. Management doesn't care. Doubt they would care if a member finally got physical and didn't just threaten it. Probably give them a gift card and say sorry for the "misunderstanding".

We are not protected. Members can get in your face and yell till you are shaking and managers do nothing. They will not call police or revoke membership, they will lose money.

I'm a merchandise lead and 1 customer stop me to rant about why Sams club keeps hiring all these latinos and she was ranting about 20 minutes I'm like member services is calling me got to go.
