Thread regarding Whole Foods Market Inc. layoffs

Labor surplus in your store?

More like Amazon recouping that $2 an hour COVID raise they apparently only loaned us last year. Whether it be through understaffing or hour restrictions, this is clearly a manufactured attempt to make that money back. Absolutely criminal.

My team was told we could have as much OT as we want, but only if we are willing to come in on our days off. Nobody is allowed to work a few extra hours on a day they are already scheduled. I was told leadership doesn't want people "Standing around for an extra hour or two."

Amazon is known for lots of OT during the holidays. It’s actually cheaper than recruiting and laying off people (holiday help)

i think they are loading up to get absolutely destroyed this holiday. if they cant hire (which amazon probably doesnt want) that means a lot of OT for the poor fks left. And the work still wont get done loool. im glad i left, i can sit back and watch the dumpster fire now
