baffles me how some people got hired in the first place being on a 30 year training plan. not knowing how to do their job duties.

The reality is that this company measure training success by how many courses/hours completed. It is nice and easy to collect and measure, but nothing to do with job capability or effectiveness. I'm in management and passed a large number of courses for my strike assignment. Can I really do the job? No, not really, but I can show you my passing test scores all day long.

Remember Donovan's pipe dram about training the workforce for the next gen technology? There were a of press about how many employees and how courses offered/completed. How many of us have a Math degree or meet the 2 years of calculus required to apply for the master program in computer science? It is BS in reality.

no lie there are plenty ,not all, of d-mb people employed by T. get rid of them they bring no value to T. Lazy people that work the system must be sent off to work for a sorry company and make T great again.

There is no incentive to make employees do their job. Managers are evaluated on productivity. To force someone to do the job is a slow tedious process that only punishes the manager with poor production. It’s easier and more beneficial to just work around them. Some folks just don’t have the aptitude for their job. But in a unionized workforce they are protected. Keep working, do your job and forget about policing the workforce. You’ll feel better.

It's very likely that those 20+year Central Office Techs have not been doing that job for 20 years.
