Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Is Yoshi really a success?

Never found anyone used the service. Looks more like a failure.

I didn’t realize there was an EMIT person involved with this boondoggle. I did some digging to see who it was and it all makes sense now. Worst of the worst right there.

That EMIT tool is a dummy on the IT side too. Sent a tool to the business to learn the business what? The person doesn't even know any ounce of IT. Can't get good at her own house, so let's send her to learn new pony tricks. Why did they think it was a good idea, let alone having a phony like that run an org?

Well, sending a p-o upward into the sky and stretch it to the business and IT sides, it's gonna get cloudy with a 100% chance of raining p-o. Maybe that's why EMIT is stinking all over.

I have first hand knowledge about this one. Prior boss was the EMIT tool on loan to F&L to “learn the business” who orchestrated the investment. It was a big boondoggle and had failure written all over it. The reason it was shut down from campus was brought up as a significant risk that needed to be mitigated (as a prior comment mentions, not a good idea to have hundreds of gallons of gasoline in an enclosed area with only a little fire extinguisher on board), but these as-----s are never wrong so they went ahead anyway. Multiple millions in losses later, the show continues. Funniest part of the story, they were shut down on campus because a competitor tattled on them to the local fire chief.

Didn't you read the Intranet article? It's a cutting edge example of how innovative ExxonMobil is. It's a resounding success. The Intranet article said so.

Just another crony scheme for some F&L and EMIT people to get VC access externally and promotions internally. Nothing to see here, move along .....

Mobil refueling service. I saw it in the parking garage a few times a few years ago when I worked at the HC. Can’t imagine the pretentious pricks who thought they were too busy/important to refuel their own car.

I heard the safety nerds figured out a truck hauling 500 gal of gasoline through a crowded parking garage probably wasn’t the best idea.

Stupid marketing stunt.
