Are open reqs on hold? Seems roles are not being back filled, and if they are, definitely not keeping up with the attrition.
Any one have insight?

Backfilling with people in other countries.
Open requisitions are there to keep the 996 plan in place for the remaining nonthreats to the status quo. It takes a VP sign off after approval from the President of the business line unless the headcount is in a low cost region.
We've hired contractors that no show, no call on day one. Still more work to do than people to do it. And now a career planning meeting bi-annually with the boss. The boss doesn't understand why when they won't promote you except once a decade. Combine it with low pay and laughable benefits. And then DA and the cronies wonder why people don't show up on day one.
A req only means that they have approved the headcount in theory, not that they have approved or budgeted to actually fill the position. At best, reqs may be left open to the following quarter or year to shave costs, at worst they are never filled.
The last thing Hon Leadership wants to do is hire people.
Upwards of 40 reqs open at Olathe and they are not moving. They lied to get people to stay and then effectively canceled a bunch of internal promotion reqs. So its not surprising that people are still leaving faster than they can find the desperate/ignorant and Temps.
Word is they are now looking to con another bunch of kids out of college like they did in 2020, only to RIF and drive out most of them. Things will only get worse as there are over 100 people on the Vaxx Mandate chopping block.
Recs being cancelled4
I’m being told our group is to have an entry engineer req opened soon….. but that doesn’t mean anytime soon and doesn’t mean they will have any applicants.
I know two or three (I think one is pending acceptance of the offer) entry level techs that have been hired.
Seems like they are somewhat willing to staff lower pay bands but not the higher ones.
Push out the experienced people and higher newbies with no transfer of knowledge. What could go wrong???
More jobs than job seekers and Honeywell is in the bottom half of current average salary and benefit offering. No incentive to increase offers due to macro uncertainty’s around taxation.
