Retention Incentive

So what is your experience so far - if you've noticed that some incentives are given to some employees in order to control the ongoing attrition ?

Does anyone receive mid-cycle increase or promotion ?
Or salary adjustment in the last past weeks ?

@2tli+1cRwHExy do you realize that inflation in Argentina is running at 50%? So a raise of 50% means zero real raise. Did I make that simple enough for you.

The only true retention incentive is job security and they do not have that to offer.

Your compeneros in South America receive annual 50% raises and a cannot be fired. People do get raises.

It was mentioned that for the 2020-2021 period raises would be communicated in December and would be effective January 2022. Curious to know if the raises mentioned in this thread were a part of a different program or maybe it depends on the group? Thanks in advance for any insight.

I figure raises need to be at least 22% to make up for no raise last year, no 401k match last year, higher inflation, and every other company increasing pay. We took a big pay cut last year due to XOM mismanagement, now doing extra work and hours because XOM didn’t get rid of the right people, all while XOM executives gave themselves bonuses and other companies increasing pay for employees. I’m interviewing and will likely leave this toxic company even if the raises are the minimum required amount of 22%.

I got 15% bump. A few good friends got 18% and 20% or so they said. I didn’t see their paperwork so only hearsay

I heard that mgmt realize that they “had to do something” for salaries given we’ve had two cycles with nothing. So how to account for two ranking cycles? Well, naturally the answer was to use the lower of the two as the basis.

Way to go EM, sc--w people at every opportunity

I’ve been given nothing extra and told to expect small standard raise in January. Late to hop on the train, but I’m starting my job search today. #UpstUnconIT
