Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

NO RAISES FRONT END

No raise for front end. New hires earn same as longtime employees. Sams does not value or appreciate associates at all. Create and allow hostile work environment. Time to leave

The company is the one making these decision and dividing everyone. The front end did get raises already. Pretty soon the stores will be cashless and they will not need any cashiers/frontline associates... the more money the company makes the more they want to cut down on positions to increase their bottom line. Dougie keeps saving them alot of money therefore he will be there a very long time too bad he has no sympathy for the people running the stores.

3jye+1cSTKeWf in reply to your comment, maybe you should transfer to the front end. If you think for one minute this is true. I suggest you go to front end. That way you can get paid 15 an hour to "do nothing". BTW nothing includes member services desk, door greeter, exit door, cashier, load and unload members carts, sell upgrades and credits, lot to fet buggies vestibule, self checkout. Then go to whatever other departments are shortstaffed such as Cafe, Bakery, gas station, then do 20 carts of gobacks end of night, clothing to refold the thousands of items thrown about, zone hba, freezer cooler. Yep front end does nothing lol. You need to get a clue

@3qbl+1cSTKeWf thanks for the info, however I was told by a manager yesterday that merchandisers were going to $17.00 an hour and numerous front end associates said they were told they would go up to $17.00. I will believe it when I see it. And some people have not been talked to at all. I was also told that COS will make $21.00 an hour. We are in California.

2kvu+1cSTKeWf, in reply to your post Front End doesn't and won't earn 17 hourly. After years of 2% February raises, last year went to $15. There was no 2% in 2021, there are no raises for front end. If you've been there 10 years or 10 minutes, it is $15 hourly

Just because base pay went up $4 doesn't mean everyone got a $4 raise. I got $1.50. Some got no raise at all .
