When the time comes when we are forced to work from the office again… I have been thinking about counting the majority of my commute time as part of the work day, given I would be working from home during this time spent on the train or in the car.
Is anyone else considering this?

BofA outsourcing to India because they know Americans are a whiny and demanding lazy bunch that they're trying to get paid any time they can even if they're not working. The proud Americans think and want BofA to work for them. Newsflash, y'all work for BofA. So yes, it's part of cutting cost and expense at BofA's part, but y'all are so narrow minded and only thinking in black and white and 1 and 0s that you're not seeing the picture when you pull your head out of your own a$$-$, thats why your jobs, career, and life have atrophied.

They outsource to India because its cheaper labor costs, not because of any other reason. And most Americans now realize commuting to and from work is no longer necessary. Advances in technology have enabled the majority of white collar work to be performed from home, resulting in a better work / life balance. Something BAC use to promote, but no longer values their biggest assets, associates.

A person suggested that because spend time to commute back to the office, they won't continue to work extra hours and will use that extra time they've been working to drive instead, and someone claiming to be a director decided to call everyone losers. BofA attitude perfect description.
not that proof there is a toll here is needed....but @kfl+1cUEd4Lk can't be from GIS or honestly even from the bank....because anyone at that bank....and especially someone from GIS would know what a site like this is blocked by the bank filter...so unless we have some folks on here with elevated rights, they aren't using their bank laptop to get here.

Even if you are a director, which I seriously doubt though you certainly have the psychopathy down, do you not see the difference in risks between going to the grocery store and spending 9 hours per day 5 days per week in an office with hundreds of other people?

Readers have evidence of an alleged Director (in GIS, no less) clearly violating social media policy by admitting their role at the bank and speaking as an employee-representative and drawing negative attention, all because they can't control their own petulant name-calling personality. Everyone answers to someone, and finding out who that Director is should be easy, especially now that there's permanent evidence of a propensity for unfair treatment for all to use in their defense. You'd think you would be able to control your emotions a little bit and not draw the target on your back like that. Nice work. You've got a nice body of uniquely worded work documenting your violations of the social media policy for anyone to record. You're not the only Director reading this board. I doubt you'll sleep well realizing what you've done and waiting for that tap.
You can call me a troll, whatever gives you ungrateful people comfort. I'm a Director in GIS, we've been monitoring this message board since several of our employees brought this to our attention. Some of you are even stupid enough to use your work laptops to post on this site. You better believe we will be taking action against employees underperforming or misrepresenting their work time.

I don't know who this self-proclaimed director is, but it's obvious they're the same tool who comments on every thread about people going out and about like life is normal instead of realizing that many people still take precautions and are not going to malls, social gatherings etc. Your writing style gives it away, plus the fact that you bring it up whether relevant to the topic or not. How lame. With leadership such as yours (if you're even real) it's obvious why we're in this train wreck of a process. What's worse than a troll? People who are like that in real life.

I'm a Director at the Bank. Thanks for admitting this. As we suspected you folks drive everywhere with no issue stores, bars, malls, outdoors, social gatherings but don't want to drive to work; a place that actually pays you and provides you and your family benefits. If you had been mature adults about this, it could have gone better. It's clear to the management stuff many of you are ungrateful, entitled, and quite frankly losers who are holding the company bank. Even our internal data shows many of you are actually not active on your laptop throughout the day, and productivity has dropped sharply.
Glad you will be returning to the office soon (the vaccinated ones already there need more company) and enjoy your long commute once again lol. Oh and if you don't comply with the vaccine mandate you will be terminated. The Bank will also be scrutinizing performance much closer and more rigorously before to cut the dead weight.

I used to check my emails at night and over the weekend but not anymore. My laptop and work cell don't get touched at all over the weekend.
I was doing that when I was told to go back into the office in 2019. They had me commuting 50 miles in SoCal traffic. If I left after 5:30am it would take me 2 hours to get in. I will be doing it when I’m told I have to go back.
Yup. During wfh I have not minded working an hour or 2 extra a day. But once my 2 hours of commuting time are back… I’m not going to be able to keep working as many extra hours.
Yes. I have been spending my commute time working from home - up to 10 hours a week. I will be forced to cut back those hours when I return to the office.
I am not hourly, but now I mentally clock and and clock out until I find another company that is better than BofA.
Market is luke warm with our kind of corporate jobs, but better than pre-pandemic.
