Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Another day wondering if I will contract Covid or the Variant tomorrow

Thank you big bank for the hours of loss sleep, the inability to focus on my work. Thank you for the blanket of safety you removed from my everyday. I hope the gains are worth the loss of trust. No CDC protocol is in place. No social distancing. The bull you float in the news is comical.

Nov is around the corner when yearly budgets usually close and comp is decided.
RTO is simply to drive attrition in place of layoffs. Additionally, the Bank is slow to adapt to the change in work setting. Lots of the senior mgt is tech challenged and do not realize that the workforce is effective for where they work best.
It's a matter of choice that they can not comprehend.

Contrary to popular belief, it's not the youngsters who will steer away so much from RTO, they need that for their social circles, etc. It's the middle mgt and SMEs/ICs that see no benefit to being back who are flocking out the door. This is a key demographic that really hits bottom lines and the effects are felt sharply in due course.

You cannot consciously bring people back into an office during a variant surge in cases without any comprehensive data on waning vaccine efficacy given that many were vaccinated months ago. It seems deceptive, dismissive, and dysfunctional.
