Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Make a plan and stick with it

I know it's cathartic to come here and vent about the company but if that's the only thing you're doing you're in trouble. Take some time to make a plan about your future and start implementing it. It doesn't have to be anything major, but at least take some steps to know you'll be okay if your name ends up on that dreaded layoffs list. Start saving, start sending out resumes, start networking...stuff like that. I know several people who were caught off guard when they were cut and trust me, you don't want to be in their shoes.

@rke+1cV0Uyz4 is correct, make your work match your pay. If you feel the company is over-paying you, then you should work more...If you feel the company is underpaying you, then work less. It is not stealing or immoral to put in an effort equal to the compensation received.

@iij+1cV0Uyz4 two wrongs don't make a right. Stealing from the company isn't okay, but if you feel that you are not getting paid enough. I don't see why you would put in more than 40hrs a week, and go above and beyond what is asked.

@syi

Considering that Frank has lied, cheated and stolen his way to the top, I don't see much wrong with the suggestions here.

Terrible advice from all of you that I hope no one takes.
One of you advocates immorality snd the other advocates stealing. Do you actually realize what your horrendous advice is?
How about come to work, work hard for our clients, be a good teammate and a person of integrity. No situation is worth losing your morals and ethics.

Fiserv had, maybe not has anymore, resources to spot immed website hits that are less than legit. Not Sapience either. So anybody watching anything bad was subject to immed termination and being walked out of the building. Nothing like a sl--e FData shill post full of insults though. I guess the FData people know about this subject.

My plan is to continue gathering inside information for a third party, and getting paid for it on the side. They seem particularly interested in Fiserv's WAF, ESF and Apigee technologies and how they are being used.
